This is a picture I took of JP, Severin and Mallory in our back yard last weekend. More snow has fallen since.

I nearly constantly can be heard singing "Winter Wonderland" and "Let It snow" in an effort to convince myself that snow is really nice.
It's sort of working, but the kids are perhaps a bit tired of hearing the same two songs over and over again....
And yes it is a big change from Africa.

Absolutely lovely. I love PHOTOS of snowy landscapes. Memories (of trudging across my front yard toward kindergarten as the house suddenly vanished in the blizzard behind me, and the road was instantly lost under the drifts in front of me) prevent me from desiring ever to TOUCH snow again, but photos are so pretty, especially when there are happy children sharing the scene.
