I am writing this post on a German laptop, so forgive any errors. The letters are all scrambled and it IS SO SO SO PAINFUL!!!!! bbbAND THE UPPER AND LOWERCASE LETTERS pop in and out WITHOUT NOTICE.

WRETCHED ABOUT COVERS IT.
AND why am i CAMPED OUT IN FRONT OF A PALS COMPUTEr, yOU may well ask

Due to a crazy error on the part of Orange (our internet "server") we have had no internet at home for the last nine days and it will not return until December 11! And considering the fact that this computer is driving me mad, I sincerely doubt Ill be posting much>

I will certainly post the recipe, biut not very soon>>

How can German people stand this torture!!!!!?
NOTHING is where it should be
Poor me. Poor blog.

¡Pobrecita!

I admire the fact that you even tried. I remember trying to type a very brief email in the Syndicat d'initiave of a certain small town in a certain hexagonally-shaped country only to discover that the "a" had escaped from its usual place on the keyboard, etc. You have my sympathy and empathy.

Nevertheless, I am happy to have an understanding of the scarcity of news about the multicultural, multilingual family in la Haute-Savoire!

This all sounds quite confusing and difficult....

as far as the computer goes, you can change the keyboards...at least internally. If you go into control panel, you can get it to think it is another kind of computer, of course that won't correspod to the keyboard in front of you, but if you are fast enough that you don't need to look, it can work. Makes you feel a mite like you have schizsophrenia though.

Good luck!

OH NO!! Immediate flashback to our arrival in France, and using the European keyboards and internet cafes, and delayed Orange service. I hope that you are reconnected early, or at least on time... :)

(I am happy that you are not all stricken with the plague of 2009, aka H1N1.) ;)

Swiss keyboards are my favorite, with all the necessary French characters but a layout that actually makes sense.

Good luck with the German one!

I wondered what had happened to you.....You've been scrambled! Tarmaced?
Perservere with the strange apparatus - you were missed!
London too has finally gone into winter today with temps below double figures for the first time in months. Very wet and frosty but only snow up north.
I am off to Australia in 2 days so am happy to leave it all behind.
Seasons Greetings to all in Blogland.
