I don't want to go into details, but Friday sucked.
If it had been any suckier, it would have collapsed upon itself, forming a huge black hole right here in the middle of Ouagadougou.
And if God were merciful, I would have fallen in and been instantly destroyed upon contact with the anti-matter, effectively putting me out of my misery.

not sure how to cheer someone up after a post like that, other than to say, it is no longer friday and i hope things are looking up. or due to your falling-in-a-hole analagy, let's just say, hope things are much better!! i am a little sad, as i always thought the next time i was in burkina i would saunter over to papiers du sahel and say hello, (hi, remember me the reader/stalker/random commenter from your blog?)... but since your family is heading to new adventures in france, i wish you all the best and look forward to news via future blogging. thank you again for the last year or so (since i came across your blog) of updates from a land i love, and for sharing life of your family with such humour and sincerity. cheers! lu:)
