Blogspot still seems to be having problems. I can't get even a single picture to load on my blog, which is rather a shame as things are finally progressing again on our room!

Anyway, as I blogged in a previous entry, the builder showed up on Feb. 4, got the walls up and most of the roof on, then wrapped it all in plastic and ran off.
Finally, today (12 days later!) his team showed upagain. They weren't exactly bright and early, either. It was 3pm-ish already, so they got quite a late start.

But they're out there right now putting the roof tiles on, which is nice. It will be even nicer when we have windows, a door and insulation...

If you want an idea of what it's all looking like, go here. It's a Photobucket album of the room going up. It will be of interest to you home renovation fans out there. For the rest of you, not so much.

Sorry this post is so lackluster. I am miserable with a particularly rotten cold. It's giving me a bad cough, making me sneeze and slowly sucking away my will to live...

Well that came practically prefabbed didn't it! Quite a system. I was happy to look at the photos anyway. Sorry your feeling under the weather. I've had a tummy big for the last few hours which has been a mite yucky....hope it doesn't turn into anything more.

Good luck!

The builder is a local guy and he puts together the walls ahead of time in his workshop. As it cuts down on the time the guys spend outside freezing to death, I think it's great!

I sure hope your bug is short-lived and you're feeling better soon!

I hope that you are both feeling better soon!

Congratulations on getting the process restarted on your addition. It will be very exciting for all of you when it is completely finished and use-ready!

Lovely work, looks almost cozy already! And fabu photos, Beth. But Photobucket (of which I am not a member) offered me a sidebar of "Depression Videos: How do I know it's depression?" against the sunny backdrop of the Alps.

I applaud the idea of prefab walls to minimize time spent building in the cold. Nice to see the progress, and oh, will that be a lovely space when it is finished!
